This nurturing eco-retreat is conveniently located only 45 minutes from Sydney in Northwest Sydney. Billabong retreat provides stunning tree house or lodge accommodation, yoga, meditation & delicious organic meals.
Billabongs beautiful bushland setting makes it the perfect city escape. Stays include accommodation, linen & towels, daily workshops, yoga twice daily, evening meditations, all delicious organic whole-food meals, all drinks and snacks. With optional infra-red sauna, private yoga or meditation consults, relaxing massages, hot stone, facials, reiki, kinesiology or hypnotherapy - there’s something for everyone.

Travel
By car Billabong is a 45 minute drive from Sydney CBD on fully sealed roads, close to Dural, Rouse Hill & Windsor. Note you can only access the retreat from Maguires Road if the creek is flooded. There is one parking space per cabin.
By train Billabong is ten minutes from Vineyard station, a one-hour journey from Sydney’s Central. Billabong offer a subsidised taxi pick up service. By plane the closest airport is Sydney, a $150 one-hour taxi journey or a one and a half hour train journey from airport to Central and then Central to Vineyard which is a ten minute taxi ride.

Cuisine
Cooked with love the buffet style vegetarian organic meals are delicious and nutritious. Breakfasts may include eggs, oats, chia porridge, fruit or pancakes. Lunch might involve moussaka, curry, nut loaf or miso and dinner can be soup, casserole or curry. Meals are always served with a choice of salads and vegetables.
Afternoon tea might be bliss balls or a home baked slice and there is always a delicious dessert after dinner. Organic fruit is available throughout the day as is a selection of teas, coffee and filtered water

Simple quad female share dorm room that is shared with other guests with shared shower and seperate toilet and balcony overlooking the billabong.

Facilities
Accommodation is fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning/fan, shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels and linen. Billabong has a therapeutic magnesium pool, an infrered sauna, a picturesque waterside pavilion for chilling, a homely common room with books/DVD/ colouring meditations and a large hall for classes complete with yoga props.
Spa
Billabongs caring spa staff offer massages, facials and reiki plus private consultations in yoga, meditation, mindfulness, naturopathy, hypnotherapy and kinesiology. These private sessions enable you to have a wellness program tailored to your exact needs for maximum benefit and results.
Treatments are scheduled outside of yoga or workshop sessions (unless otherwise agreed) Treatments are additional cost and must be booked in advance. Cancellation period is 72 hours.
There is also a far, near and mid infra red sauna available for booking treatments

CONNECT MIND, BODY & BREATH
Yoga Essentials

Yoga is an ancient discipline that connects body-mind-spirit through postures (asana), breath (pranayama, sensory awareness (pratyahara) and meditation (dharana and dhyanam). Our yoga essentials program is suitable for those with no experience as well as those who want a refresher.
The retreat includes twice daily yoga flow classes at 7am and 3.30pm plus special yoga workshops each day at 9am and evening meditation every other day.
We teach in the tradition of Krishnamacharya and our founders Paul & Tory plus yoga teachers Basia and Natalie were all trained by Michael de Manicor, Director of The Yoga Institute and past president of Yoga Australia.

You can combine a Wellness Essentials program (Wednesday to Friday) with an additional yoga, meditation or mindfulness program before (Sunday to Wednesday) or after (Friday to Sunday)

The workshops are designed to help you identify current coping strategies and create new strategies that take you to a place of calmness and tranquility.

EMOTIONAL & DIGESTIVE REJUVENATION

  • Workshops explore the importance of relaxation and how we can make small changes to reduce the amount of stress in our lives, what emotional stress is and how this has a domino effect plus how diet and nutrition as well as what we are feeling are all important factors is building resilience to stress.

CULTIVATING KINDNESS TO SELF
